3D PRINTED FILAMENTS

Melt prints with PLA (polylactic acid) filament sourced from two manufacturers. Unlike traditional petroleum based plastics, PLA is plant-based.

ReFlow

ReFlow Matte rPLA is bioderived from corn starch and recycled food packaging waste. Available in 6 colors with a matte finish that reduces lines and gloss to produce a premium finish.

Polymaker

Polymaker PolyTerra PLA is a bio-based filament with a smooth matte finish. For every spool of material purchased, one tree is planted (in the region where the spools are sold) in partnership with One Tree Planted association. All of the packaging materials are recycled cardboard.

NATURAL Cork

Cork is natural, renewable and recyclable, it is biodegradable and 100% environmentally friendly.

Because it is harvested only from the bark of the cork oak tree (which means the tree keeps on living and helping to clean our air) it is one of the most highly renewable and eco-friendly resources on the planet.

Given that cork trees can live for up to 300 years, one tree can supply cork for many many generations.

70% of the worlds manufactured cork comes from the cork forests of Portugal and Spain. Melt uses cork originating from Portugal, and is supplied by an East Coast distributor.
